RS120 Headphones User Guide

RS120 Headphones Setup

Connections and mounting
Establish the necessary connections between the RS120 transmitter and your audio device (amplifier, MP3 player, DVD, TV, etc).

The RS 120 transmitter is prepared for wall mounting. The mounting material is not included in the delivery.

Ear cushions
The Sennheiser RS120 ear cushions are secured to the earcups by means of a quarter turn fastener. To remove an ear cushion, turn it in the direction of the arrow until you overcome a slight resistance and lift it off the earcup.

The left ear pad is where the batteries are inserted and also has the on/off switch for the RS120 headphones. The right ear pad has the volume control and the fine tuning control.

Rechargeable batteries
Attention: Only use rechargeable batteries, never use standard batteries!

Insert the rechargeable batteries. Charge the batteries for at least 24 hours prior to first time use. Subsequent charging time is approximately 18 hours per full charge. Place the RS120 headphones on the charging cradle of the RS 120 transmitter. The red LED lights up, indicating that the batteries are being charged. The LED remains lit even when the rechargeable batteries are fully charged. The RS120 headphone unit has overcharging protection.

Please note that nearly discharged batteries will significantly reduce the sound quality.

Switching the RS120 Headphones ON/OFF
Turn on the sound source and the headphones. The transmitter features an automatic on/off function. When the transmitter is turned on, its green LED lights up. Make sure to turn off the headphones after each use to avoid unnecessarily discharging the batteries.

Reception/Interference
Adjust the receiver channel with the TUNE control on the headphones. If reception is subject to interference, change the transmission channel. To do so, set the switch at the bottom of the transmitter to another position and re-adjust the receiver channel. Some electronic devices (e.g. televisions) can cause interference to your wireless headphone system. If this happens, increase the distance between the transmitter and the interference source.

Additional information
Always keep the unit dry and do not expose it to extreme temperatures (ideally 10-35°C).

Use the unit with care and set it up in a clean, dust-free environment.

Varnish or furniture polish may degrade the rubber feet of the transmitter which could stain your furniture.

Do not store your headphones on a glass dummy head, chair armrest, or similar for long periods of time as this can widen the headband and reduce the contact pressure of the headphones.

Attention: Do not put on the RS120 headphones in situations which require special attention (e.g. in traffic or when performing skilled jobs).

Attention: Do not charge standard batteries via the headphones. Only use rechargeable batteries.

Dispose of exhausted rechargeable batteries which cannot be recharged as special waste or return them to your specialist dealer.

Please observe the respective country-specific regulations on frequency usage.

Accessories
Only use original Sennheiser RS 120 wireless headphones components, otherwise the unit can be damaged and the warranty becomes null and void.
